King's Day Free Market

Saturday April 30, 2022 from 13:00 till 18:00 hours
in and around The Dutch Church
 
  After two silent years the Netherlands organizations in the UK are joining forces again this year to celebrate a grand King's Day celebration.

On April 30 between 13:00 and 18:00 hours we will colour Austin Friars orange, and to get in the mood, our ambassador Karel van Oosterom will open the event with a word of welcome and of course we will sing the Wilhelmus.

There is a free market again and Old-Dutch games for the children. There is also a children's treasure hunt in the church and the creative ones among us can get started at the craft table.

There is also plenty to do for adults:
  • stroll along the stalls, the book market, enjoy Dutch herring, tompouces, poffertjes, French fries, croquettes, orange bitters and chilled Dutch beers;

  • join one of the guided tours through the church and take a look at the beautiful works of art, that will be auctioned on this day.
