De Europese Unie (EU) is sterk gegroeid. Inmiddels gelden ook voor de volgende landen de re gels van de EU: Estland, Letland, Litouwen, Hongarije, Polen, Slowakije, Slovenië, Tsjechië, Cyprus, Malta, Bulgarije, Roemenie. Daarnaast gelden die regels ook voor Zwitserland en de EER-landen Liechtenstein, Noorwegen en IJsland.

Woont u in één van deze landen ?

Misschien kunt u dan een hoger AOW-pensioen uit Nederland krijgen. Dit kunt u voor uzelf nagaan aan de hand van de volgende 5 vragen:

1 Woont u nu in een van de genoemde landen ? en

2 Heeft u een onvolledig AOW-pensioen of toeslag ? en

3 Heeft u of uw partner voor 1 januari 1957 in N ederland gewoond of gewerkt en

4 Staat in de beslissing over uw AOW-pensioen of toeslag dat die alleen is gebaseerd op AOW-verzekering na 1 januari 1957 ?

of

5 Bent u of is uw (toenmalige) huwelijksspartner voor 2 augustus 1989 in Nederland verzekerd geweest voor de AOW, terwijl de ander in die periode van het huwelijk woonde in een van de bovengenoemde landen ?

Hebt u de vragen 1 tot en met 4 of de vragen 1,2,3 en 5 met 'ja' beantwoord ? Dan krijgt u misschien een hoger AOW-pensioen.

Neemt u dan contact op met uw SVB-kantoor. Uiteraard is dit niet nodig als uw AOW-pensioen of AOW-toeslag in het verleden al is verhoogd.

If you live iu one of these countries, you may be entitled to a higher pension from The Netherlands.You can check this for yourself by answering the five following questions:

Are you curently living in one of the above countries? and

2 Do you receive less than the full rate of AOW pension or supplementary allowance? and

3 Did you or your partner live or work in The Netherlands before 1 January 1957? and

4 Does the decision on your AOW pension or supplementary allowance say that your entitlement is only based on AOW insuurance after 1 January 1957?

or

5 Were you or your current or former spouse insured under the AOW scheme in the Netherlands before 2 August 1989, while one of you was living in one of the above countries?

If you answered yes to questions 1 to 4, or to questions 1,2,3 and 5, please contact your SVB office.
Of course, this will not be necesssary if your AOW pension or AOW suppleementary allowance was already raised in the past.
